Our hearts are with the people of Jamaica. The devastation we’re seeing from Hurricane Melissa is unimaginable and the photos only begin to tell the story. Entire communities have been flooded, homes destroyed, and families displaced.

A Hand From Above has boots on the ground providing real-time intel, and we are working around the clock to secure air assets, pilots, and supply routes to get relief where it’s needed most. We’re honored to collaborate with trusted nonprofits and aviation partners to coordinate logistics, deliver life-saving aid, and stand beside the islanders as they begin to recover.

Navigating access, approvals, and resources has been challenging but nothing compared to what the people of Jamaica are enduring right now.

We’ll continue to share verified updates as they come in.

10/30/2025 - Update

Bringing Light to the Darkness

Tonight, in the mountains of Jamaica, light found its way through the darkness.

Dr. Alison and the incredible Third Wave Volunteers arrived this morning, driving seven hours through washed-out roads and mud to reach families cut off by devastation. They brought light—literally and figuratively—to those who had lost everything.

We are beyond grateful to work alongside such extraordinary nonprofits who lead with heart, grit, and compassion. Getting aid into Jamaica has been a challenge, but we are up for the challenge.

As of today, more first responders have arrived, with more on the way tomorrow. Every day, we’re reminded that hope shines brightest when shared.

Together, we are the light.

10/31/2025 - Update Jamaica,

11-3-2025 - Update Jamaica Needs Us Now

“Love is my religion.” Those words from Bob Marley ring truer than ever. Right now, love looks like fuel! The fuel that keeps our planes flying, supplies moving, and medically fragile souls getting the care they desperately need.

Our teams are on the ground and in the air, working nonstop to reach remote communities and transport those who cannot wait. Every gallon of fuel means another life touched, another family reunited, another chance at hope.

If you can help fund this mission, please reach out or send your support.

Together, we can keep hope in the air and love in motion.

Together, we rise. Together, we rebuild.

In Bob Marley’s words “The greatness of a man is not in how much wealth he acquires, but in his integrity and his ability to affect those around him positively.”

11-5-2025 - Update PROJECT HEAL JAMAICA

One Love ~ One Heart ~ One Humanity

A Collaborative Humanitarian Mission for the People of Jamaica

When Hurricane Melissa struck Jamaica, she did more than disrupt power and roads; she tested the rhythm of an island built on strength, unity, and spirit. Across the parishes, families are struggling for clean water, medical access, and stability. And yet, through the hardship, Jamaica’s heartbeat remains steady, resilient, proud, and full of love. As Bob Marley reminded the world: “You never know how strong you are until being strong is your only choice.” That strength is now echoed in Project HEAL: Jamaica, a unified response bringing together medicine, aviation, logistics, and compassion to restore hope and humanity to those in need.

OUR MISSION

To stand with the people of Jamaica during this critical moment by providing immediate medical support, essential supplies, and coordinated recovery efforts. Our principle is simple yet powerful: Humanity First. We are not waiting for help. We are bringing it by air, by land, and by heart.

OUR LEAD FOUNDATION AND COALITION OF PARTNERS

The National Foundation for Integrative Medicine (NFIM) NFIM is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to advancing innovative, patient-centered healthcare through science, technology, and compassion. Their work unites clinicians, researchers, and policymakers to create rapid, evidence-based medical responses from veteran care to integrative health models ensuring communities receive effective care when they need it most. NFIM’s leadership and medical guidance are central to the mission of PROJECT HEAL JAMAICA, empowering responders and clinicians to deliver safe, coordinated, life-saving solutions.

Our Partners in Action

A Hand From Above (AHFA): Coordinating acute disaster recovery and aviation-based humanitarian response built on heart, grit, and compassion in action.

United Cajun Navy: Trusted national network of responders delivering supplies, rescue logistics, and volunteer coordination.

Emergency Response Logistics (ERL): Elite medical and fire-line professionals guided by the creed “Everybody Goes Home.”

Air Center Helicopters Inc.: Providing aviation operations and logistics, ensuring every flight of aid reaches remote and underserved parishes.

Veterans Workforce: Veteran-led organization offering logistical expertise and ground support built on discipline and service. Together, we are one coalition, a global heartbeat of hope.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

Bob Marley taught that love is not a word; it’s a movement. “The greatness of a man is not in how much wealth he acquires, but in his integrity and his ability to affect those around him positively.” Our integrity lies in action showing up, standing together, and rebuilding lives through compassion. Every aircraft in the sky, every volunteer on the ground, every donation made it all moves to the same rhythm: One Love. One Heart. One Humanity.

JOIN THE MOVEMENT

Project HEAL: Jamaica is more than a mission, it is a promise. A promise that love still leads. That humanity still unites. And that together, we can heal the island’s heart.

“One Love, One Heart, let’s get together and feel all right.” Bob Marley

Support the Mission: please build a quick social media post that is easy to read so people quickly understand our mission. I want to be no longer than three sentences and the ask is to please donate and or share.

Jamaica  One Week After the Storm

Homes flattened. Churches crumbled. Roads blocked by powerlines and debris.

Our team captured these scenes while navigating some of the hardest hit areas following Hurricane Melissa. Entire communities are still without reliable shelter, power, or clean water. Many roads are barely passable, and families…especially the elderly are surviving with what little they have left.

This isn’t just damage. It’s daily life now for thousands.

We’re not just showing up. We’re staying.

The United Cajun Navy and our partners are on the ground, listening, assessing, and delivering supplies where they’re needed most. Your support makes every mission, every tarp, every box of food, every act of compassion possible.

Hearts Heavy Today

A plane carrying relief supplies bound for Jamaica went down before reaching its destination. Those on board weren’t just delivering aid they were delivering hope.

We grieve their loss and honor their courage by continuing the mission they believed in: bringing love, light, and humanity where it’s needed most.

“One love, one heart… let’s get together and feel all right.”

Please take a moment to watch this video and honor Alexander and his legacy. Fly high, Alexander your mission of love continues through all of us.  RIP
