A Hand From Above is a 501(c)(3) aviation-based disaster relief nonprofit organization. We are a team of individuals dedicated to helping those affected by disasters. Our mission is to provide immediate assistance and long-term support to communities. Through our team of dedicated volunteers and generous donors, we make a difference by utilizing our resources and connecting them to those that are in search of a specific need. Whether it's rescue, relief or rebuild efforts and operations, we have the connection you need to make it happen. Our organization was founded on the belief that everyone deserves a helping hand during their darkest hours. Heather kamasa
Heather is a devoted mother and wife, whose passion for leadership shines through her extensive charitable work. With over 25 years of experience running charities, she has dedicated her life to helping others, including her role as Chairman of Helping Hands, where she has created homes for the homeless. As a past president of the Apartment Angels Non-profit, Heather has empowered and supported families so that they could regain stability, and her hands-on work with Habitat for Humanity showcases her commitment to building a better community. From hosting holiday parties for inner-city kids in New Jersey, to rebuilding homes for friends in need, Heather's selflessness and dedication make a lasting impact on those around her. As hurricane Helen struck and caused life long impacts on the lives of those living in the affected areas, she knew she had to get to work and utilize her resources. She's connected one person with another being a conduit for those in search for a specific needs and by doing so she has formulated an incredible web of collaboration and resource mobilization. This non-profit is the result of that web now becoming that link anyone affected by disaster can rely on to help guide them and connect them to exactly what they need.

Angie riley cramp
Angie Riley Cramp has over 20 years of experience in the multifamily housing industry, specializing in marketing, training, and branding. As Director of Brand Engagement at Berger Communities, she focuses on creating strong connections between customers and the brand. With a passion for enhancing the renting experience, Angie is dedicated to simplifying the process through innovative marketing strategies that build strong, recognizable brands in the competitive property management landscape. In a world often clouded by negativity, anger, materialism, and the filtered lives we see on social media, kindness is more important than ever. Be the light that reminds others there is still hope, community, faith, and generosity around us. As a society, we rise and fall together. Angie supports the mission of A Hand From Above because she believes in the power of stepping up for others in times of crisis. She hopes that if her family or community ever face a disaster, others will offer support—just as she strives to do for those in need. This belief is rooted in her commitment to the Golden Rule: treat others as you would want to be treated. As Herman Melville said, "We cannot live only for ourselves. A thousand fibers connect us with our fellow men."

Jennifer Lancenese
Jennifer Lancenese's three decades in the multifamily housing industry have shaped her fundamental belief: great communities start with people who care. Drawing from her extensive experience, she specializes in building and mentoring site teams that go beyond just managing properties – they create genuine neighborhoods where residents thrive. This philosophy drives everything she does, from mentoring her site teams to volunteering with Helping Hands and now the honor of serving on the board of A Hand from Above. She's mastered the art of transforming standard apartment complexes into vibrant communities where neighbors know each other's names and look out for one another. It's the same approach she brings to crisis-stricken areas – understanding that communities aren't rebuilt with bricks and mortar alone, but with compassion, dedication, and an unwavering belief in the power of human connection.

Lisa campbell
Lisa Campbell is a dedicated mother and passionate aviator who embarked on her journey in aviation alongside her son through the Civil Air Patrol. In 2008, she founded Air Mods Flight Training Center, where she has inspired countless aspiring pilots. As the Previous chairman of the Flight School Association of North America and member of the Aviation Regulatory Congressional Advisory Panel, Lisa is committed to advancing the aviation industry. Together with her husband, Dave Mathiesen, she directs a general aviation maintenance facility and volunteers for Operation Airdrop, a vital initiative that delivers essential supplies to disaster-stricken areas, ensuring that help reaches those in urgent need. In the past, her daughter Ilissa has coordinated donations at the flight school for hurricane sandy helping to assist those that were affected by the devastation that hurricane left. Lisa and her family are inspiring to the community as their efforts create real change as they volunteer their time and resources to helping those facing devastation. Following the disaster of hurricane Helen, Lisa and her family got to work as they have flown in countless supply drops to the disaster stricken areas.

Elizabeth Badowski
Elizabeth Badowski worked 20+ years working as an advocate/social service director in health care. Working with chronically mentally ill adults in a group home setting, in a nursing home/long term care/dementia care setting and eventually with a consulting geriatric psych organization. She currently works with a national swine veterinary service as a customer service/sales representative. Beth is no stranger to disaster relief. Her first experience was with the Joplin, MO tornado in 2011. Ever since then, it has been her calling and passion to help when she can with disaster relief, clean up and rebuild. Having had opportunities to be a helping hand after 2 hurricanes and 3 tornado ravaged areas. She is no stranger to hard work, outreach, community support and just helping out as needed. She has been working with a group at a local church for 10 years, which supplies split wood for heat for communities and families utilizing alternate heat sources during the cold months.

Heather Wild
Heather Wild spent her career as a secretary and office manager in the construction industry, beginning with her father’s landscaping business and later moving into roofing. While her professional life was built around hard work and structure, Heather’s heart has always been rooted in service. From supporting Toys for Tots, to rescuing dogs, to volunteering with local charities, giving back has always been a natural extension of who she is. After receiving a life-changing health diagnosis, Heather felt a deep calling to align her work with her heart. Her compassion is also shaped by personal experience—she survived the devastating floods of Hurricane Floyd in 1999 and Tropical Storm Allison in 2001, giving her firsthand understanding of how disasters can shatter families and communities. When Hurricane Helene struck North Carolina and Tennessee, Heather didn’t hesitate. She gathered supplies from friends and family, drove into the storm zone, and used her skills—including her eye as an amateur photographer—to bring stories of loss and resilience to light. That trip ignited a fire to keep the momentum going and extend a hand to as many people as possible. Beyond her charitable work, Heather is a proud mother of three. She actively volunteers in the competitive dance community, Scouts BSA, and youth sports. Her life reflects a commitment to service, resilience, and compassion, and she looks forward to continuing that mission as a hand with A Hand From Above.
